Privacy policy

Last updated: 5 April 2026

This privacy policy explains how personal data and cookies are handled when you use the GRIPGP Drift Championship event website. It applies only to this site; external links (for example to ticket sellers or third-party services) are governed by those services’ own policies.

Data controller

The data controller is the group of organisers of the GRIPGP Drift Championship in the context of this informational website. You can find the list of event organisers and their public contact details in the “Sponsors” section (event organisers).

If you have questions about this policy or how we process data, please contact the organisers using their publicly published contact information.

Data we may process

When you browse the site, standard server / hosting information may be logged at a technical level (for example IP address, request time, browser type) as needed for security and operation.

If you email or otherwise contact the organisers directly, we will process the information you provide (for example name, email address, message content) only to respond to your request.

Registration or other forms embedded via third-party services (for example Google Forms) are processed under that provider’s rules; we encourage you to read their privacy policy.

Cookies

The site may use an essential technical cookie to remember your language choice (for example `preferred-locale`) so that the site opens in your selected language on future visits. This cookie is not used for advertising.

We store your statistics consent in a first-party cookie `gripgp-analytics-consent` (values “granted” or “denied”, about 180 days). You can accept or decline Google Analytics in the banner at the bottom of the page and change your choice anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Until you accept, or if you choose “Decline”, the Google Analytics script is not loaded.

Any other cookies or similar technologies are used only as described under “Analytics (Google Analytics)”. We do not use additional marketing or tracking cookies at this time.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

The site may use Google Analytics to collect aggregated visit statistics (for example page views, traffic sources, device/region-level data without identifying a specific individual).

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies; processing is governed by Google’s privacy policy. You can limit analytics via your browser cookie settings or tools Google provides (for example browser add-ons).

We do not use Google Analytics for ad personalisation or to build detailed advertising profiles.

Retention

Technical and analytics data are kept only as long as needed for the stated purposes and as configured in our hosting and Google Analytics settings.

Correspondence is kept for a reasonable period needed to respond or meet legal requirements.

Your rights

Where GDPR applies, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests (in certain cases), data portability (where applicable), and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise your rights, contact the organisers using their public contact details. We aim to respond within a reasonable time.

Transfers outside the EEA

When using Google services, data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Google relies on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses as described under the GDPR.

Changes

We may update this policy (for example if our analytics tools or cookie practices change). The update date is shown at the top of this page; please review this document from time to time.
